Facebook tries to do some good in the world

Facebook hopes its new measures may help others facing suicidal thoughts or extreme psychological distress before it’s too late. But will it make a real difference, or is it just a token gesture to deal with a high profile problem?
I tend to be cynical about Facebook, but I’m finding it hard to be cynical about this move. It looks like they’re genuinely trying to be helpful.
