We'll always need tissues — but newspapers?
A representative from the Domtar pulp mill in Kamloops spoke in purely business terms, but it was obvious that less and less paper is being used for newspapers:
“Printing and writing paper is in a slow decline,” David Lloyd told Kamloops downtown Rotary Club. “We’re constantly challenged to find new and growing uses.”
What are those new and growing uses? Lloyd specifically pointed to tissue paper, which reminded me of this graph at grist.org:
