Facebook leads the charge into a social world

More evidence of Facebook world domination comes from comScore, as reported by Technolog.

According to (the report), Facebook rules the rest, reaching “more than half of the world’s global audience (55 percent)” and having accounted for “approximately 3 in every 4 minutes spent on social networking sites and 1 in every 7 minutes spent online around the world.”

Also worthy of note is the stat showing more than 80 per cent of people aged 55 and over engaged in social media. That tells me the transition to the Internet age is virtually complete. Any doubters left in news organizations will soon be left behind.

But nothing can beat the amont of time spent on social media by women aged 15 to 24. These are the people most prized by advertisers, so getting them from your Facebook page to your website is essential.
