This review for Mashable of the new iPad by Christina Warren marks a turning point. One of the main advantages of print has been the fact that it is easier to read, is easier on the eyes. With the new iPad, that advantage has been lost:
. . . text looks better than a newspaper and as crisp as the most well-published glossy magazines.
It’s still tough to read in sunlight because of the shiny glass surface. But otherwise, what we’re looking at is an improvement over print.
