Colophon

Textpattern

Free and open source, makes it easy to create designs from scratch, not a constant target of hackers, doesn’t try to up-sell, and has a friendly and helpful forum.

iA Writer

A beautiful, distraction-free writing experience.

Transmit

Fast, reliable and backed by a solid developer.

VSCodium

All the things I like about VS Code, but without the Microsoft ick factor.

Alic

Faster and more featureful than ImageOptim. Also, free.

Affinity

Free, looks good, well-documented and, thank God, not Adobe.

Preview

Fast, comes with my Mac, and does a lot more than you might expect.

Bunny Fonts

Title: Bangers. Headings: Source Sans Pro. Text: Newsreader.

AI

Never used for writing. Used once for a graphic on April 1 (hint, hint). Used lots for coding.

The Canadian Press Stylebook

I know Canadian Press style by heart after using it for decades while working at newspapers.

GoatCounter

An open source web analytics platfrom supported by donations. Just the basics, nothing about individuals.
