What will newsrooms of the future be like? They might be more like wire services as we now know them.
With digital-first strategies becoming increasingly prevalent, reporters will be freed from the daily cycle and work toward bulletins and briefs before unleashing final versions of their stories.
Another thing that might change — depending on the size of the news organization — is that reporters may cover shifts instead of beats. Readers will be expecting their news 24-7, and reporters will have to be available around the clock.
