This week’s council meeting was the first where everyone was using the slick Apple tablet computer instead of lugging around a paper copy, which used to average 1,250 pages. The paper savings are considerable because there used to be 23 copies of those agendas for the politicians and senior staff.
How quickly iPads have become a part of our everyday lives. It’s hard to believe the device has been available for less than two years — it first went on sale in U.S. stores on April 3, 2010.
